My name is Laurence Murphy.

I am originally from County Kerry, I moved to Cork in the Mid 1990s to study at UCC. Graduating with a BA and an MA in Philosophy. I have had a long standing experience of and belief in both Counselling and group work as a sources of personal development and as a way of working proactively on mental health issues. Between 2010 and 2015 I studied a five year in-depth training course in Integrative and Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Flatstone Institute in Cork which is accredited with The Institute for Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, IAHIP. And I have since graduated with a post graduate diploma in Counselling.
I have also completed group work courses with Shep and Continue to attend personal development courses and workshops. I attend regular supervision and I am a fully-accredited member of IAHIP, and I abide by their code of ethics. I am married with one son and live in Cork.
